Taichung Jazz Festival 2026 - When Giants Play

Serving as the main stage of the 2026 Taichung Jazz Festival,
Taichung Civic Square is the place where music lovers come together each autumn.

As artists from around the world arrive in Taichung, this vibrant urban green space transforms into an open-air jazz venue, where music flows freely between the stage, the city, and the people who fill it.

Beyond the main stage performances, the festival will feature a dedicated Busker Zone, showcasing 10 different acts each day. From jazz and folk to genre-blending original creations, a rich variety of music will unfold throughout the square, inviting visitors to discover unexpected performances as they stroll, pause, and immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere.

To ensure everyone can enjoy the excitement, three large-scale projection screens will broadcast live stage performances throughout the venue, giving audiences a clear view of every memorable moment. In front of the main stage, a specially designed Listening Area equipped with a professional sound system will highlight the subtle textures, depth, and dynamic energy of jazz, creating a truly immersive live music experience.

The festival also features an Accessible Viewing Area, offering a comfortable and welcoming space for audience members with accessibility needs. Because music is for everyone, we hope every visitor can experience the joy, inspiration, and connection that jazz brings.

From National Freeway 1 (Sun Yat-sen Freeway)

Exit at Zhonggang Interchange → Head towards Taichung City → Continue on Taiwan Boulevard → Turn right onto Yingcai Road → Turn right onto Gongyi Road → Arrive at Civic Square (about 15-20 minutes from the interchange).

From National Freeway 3 (Second Freeway) : Southbound

National Freeway 3 → Exit at Longjing Interchange → Head towards Taichung City → Continue on Taiwan Boulevard → Turn right onto Yingcai Road → Turn right onto Gongyi Road → Arrive at Civic Square (about 25-30 minutes from the interchange).
