Maria Kim is one of the leading voices in Korea’s contemporary jazz scene, acclaimed for her expressive vocals, accomplished piano playing, and refined artistry. As a vocalist, pianist, and composer, she has developed a distinctive musical language that balances jazz tradition with a modern sensibility.

Her album With Strings: Dream of You received the Best Jazz – Vocal Album award at the 2022 Korean Music Awards and was later praised by the respected Japanese jazz publication Jazz Critique. She continued her artistic momentum by receiving the Jazz Artist Award at the 29th Korean Entertainment Arts Awards.

Released through the U.S. label La Reserve in 2024, her seventh album Misty Blue reached No. 1 on the Yes24 Jazz Chart, further expanding her international presence. Her eighth album, Love Letters (2025), also topped both the Yes24 Jazz Chart and Apple Music’s Jazz Album Chart in Korea, while earning a nomination for Best Jazz – Vocal Album at the 2026 Korean Music Awards.

Touring extensively across Asia, North America, Europe, and beyond, Maria Kim continues to bring Korean contemporary jazz to audiences around the world with elegance, emotional depth, and a distinctly personal artistic voice.
