Formed in 2024 in the Kansai area under the name Santa Ishiwaki Quartet. The band developed a contemporary sound rooted in the diverse musical backgrounds of each member, while retaining the raw energy of a rock band. Embodying the vibrant spirit of Kansai, they won the Grand Prize at Park Jazz Live Contest 2025. Following the release of their debut album, Celestial Sailing, and its release tour, the band changed its name to Lambda Shift.
