Alongside them, the iconic instruments that shaped the sound of jazz helped write some of the most influential chapters in music history.

With the theme of “When Giants Play”, the 2026 Taichung Jazz Festival invites audiences to follow in the footsteps of the legends who transformed jazz and to discover the fresh voices of today’s artists who continue to expand its boundaries. From timeless instruments to innovative new expressions, experience the enduring vitality of a genre that constantly reinvents itself while honoring its roots.

Since its founding in 2003, the Taichung Jazz Festival has grown alongside the city and introduced countless music lovers to the world of jazz. Every autumn, musicians from around the globe gather in Taichung, connecting through performance, creativity, and cultural exchange, and making jazz one of the city’s most distinctive and beloved soundscapes.

This year, the 10-day celebration returns to Taichung Civic Square, bringing together outstanding artists from Taiwan and around the world for an unforgettable lineup of performances and activities. From the main stage and themed concerts to citywide tours and community programs, jazz will once again fill every corner of the city with its vibrant energy.
