Taichung Jazz Big Band
The Taichung Jazz Festival enters its 21st year, and this year, we are excited to introduce the Taichung Jazz Big Band training program. The training courses will run from August to November, and we invite jazz musicians and music enthusiasts of all ages to register and participate.
This program aims to build a local jazz performance ensemble by inviting professional jazz instructors to guide participants. The courses will offer an accessible introduction to various aspects of jazz, helping students enhance their playing abilities, inspire creativity, and further strengthen Taichung's position as a jazz music hub, while also expanding the city's cultural influence.

◼ Open to all genders and ages.
◼ Must have instrument performance skills and basic sight-reading ability.
◼ Passion for jazz music is required.
◼ A total of 21 members will be selected (priority will be given to Taichung City residents).
Band Setup:
Saxophone, jazz drums, piano, guitar, trombone, trumpet, double bass.
Course Schedule:
From August to November 2025, every Thursday. There will be 12 lessons, each lasting 3 hours.

The Taiwan Youth Band was established in 2009, composed of outstanding young wind instrument performers from across Taiwan. It has been recognized multiple times as an outstanding performing arts team in Taichung City. The band is dedicated to providing a platform for young wind music enthusiasts to exchange ideas and hone their skills, offering diverse performance opportunities while actively promoting and nurturing the wind music culture in Taiwan. Its rehearsal space is located in the heart of Taichung City, near the Taichung Train Station, offering convenient transportation and a prime geographical advantage.
