In the context of the digital age, the influence of society, life, and the arts is becoming increasingly significant. It is expected to become a representation of the spirit of this era, inspiring people to explore culture and discover new musical perspectives.
Taichung aims to become a platform for jazz exchange. Through the Jazz Festival, it deeply connects the city with the world, hoping to enhance international exchange and cooperation, drive the city’s economic and brand development, and strengthen cultural confidence and identity. The goal is to create a jazz culture unique to Taichung. Based on years of experience, this effort continues to promote the foundation of jazz cultural education and focuses on linking local industries to host jazz performances. Through music, it drives the shared development of both the economy and culture, allowing citizens, wherever they are, to feel the charm of jazz's soul.
Continuing the festival tradition, a 10-day open-air performance will be held at the Taichung Civic Square, presenting jazz music’s diverse sounds through different performance formats. It will not only feature instrumental performances but also incorporate vocal arrangements to create new effects, providing the audience with a fresh auditory feast.
In continuation of the jazz activities series, in addition to the main stage performances, themed concerts and jazz tours will be organized to allow more people to understand, experience, and appreciate jazz. The concert environment eliminates external noise disturbances, enabling the audience to focus on the performers' content. The exhibition activities range from public performances by youth jazz bands to inviting renowned jazz bands for tours, allowing the people of Taichung to enjoy the freedom and spontaneity that jazz brings.
